'রবীন্দ্রসংগীত সম্মেলন' আসলে বিভিন্ন জেলা, শাখা থেকে তার প্রিয় ছাত্রছাত্রীরা আসতো গানগুলো প্রিয় স্যারকে দেখিয়ে বাছাই করে নেওয়ার জন্য। গাওয়ার পর সকলেই তাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করতো "গান কেমন হল?" সংগীত সুন্দর ভাবে গীত হলে সে যেমন প্রশংসা করতো, তেমনি অবলীলায় ত্রুটিগুলোও ধরিয়ে দিত। তবে গান শুনিয়ে তাকে খুশী করা খুবই দুরূহ কাজ ছিল। নীলোৎপল নিজেই স্বল্পশ্রুত ও দুরূহ গান করতে পছন্দ করতো। রবীন্দ্রনাথ ছিল নীলোৎপলের আদর্শ আর "রবীন্দ্রসংগীত সম্মেলন পরিষদ" ছিল তার জীবন। তাইতো ২০১৯ইং সালে মরন ব্যধি অসুখ নিয়ে চিকিৎসার গুরুত্ব না দিয়েই এক মাসে চারটি জেলায় প্রশিক্ষণ দিয়েছে। তাছাড়া মৃত্যুর আগ পর্যন্ত ২০১৯ইং সালে ৫ই জানুয়ারী চাঁদপুর, ২২শে ফেব্রুয়ারি কুমিল্লায় বিচারকের দায়িত্ব পালন করেছিল। ২০২০ইং সালের ১৭ই মার্চ এই সংগীত পিপাসু মানুষটি ইহজগতের সকল মায়া ত্যাগ করে নাফেরার দেশে চলে গেল। মৃত্যুর দুই দিন আগেও বলেছিল, "আমার যে অনেক কাজ বাকী রয়ে গেলো গো"। দেশের প্রতি তার প্রচণ্ড মমতাবোধ ছিল এবং ভবিষ্যৎ প্রজন্মের কথা চিন্তা করে খুব হতাশ হতো।
সংস্কৃতির বিকাশে রবীন্দ্রনাথ শিক্ষাদান, প্রচার ও প্রসারে নীলোৎপলের অগ্রণী ভূমিকা ছিল। তার মহান সাধনার ফল দেশের মানুষের কল্যাণের পথে এগিয়ে যাক। সার্থক হয়ে উঠুক একটি জাতির সকল মঙ্গল কাজে। মানুষের ঘরে ঘরে গিয়ে পৌঁছে যাক বাঙ্গালী সংস্কৃতির উপকরণ। আমি মনেকরি নীলোৎপলের কাছে সংস্কৃতি প্রেমীরা সর্বাত্তকভাবে ঋণী।

পরিশেষে রবীন্দ্রনাথের গানের মধ্য দিয়ে নীলোৎপলের মৃত্যু ভাবনা শেষ করছি - 

"আজি বিজন ঘরে নিশীথ রাতে 
আসবে যদি শূন্য হাতে"

এই গানটিতে মৃত্যুকে গভীরভাবে আলিঙ্গন করে পরম তৃপ্তি পেতে আগ্রহী রবীন্দ্রনাথ। মৃত্যু অত্যন্ত গোপনে এসে হাজির হয়। আপাত দৃষ্টিতে মৃত্যুর এই হাত আমাদেরকে আলোকময় ধরা থেকে অসীম অন্ধকারে নিয়ে যায়। পার্থিব জীবন যতই আড়ম্বরপূর্ণ হোক, প্রকৃতপক্ষে এই জীবন ভিখারির জীবন। তুমিও আজ আঁধার ঘন, অনন্তলোকে নীরব শয়নে চির শায়িত। তোমাকে জানাই আমার শূন্য হৃদয়ের গভীর ভালোবাসা ও শ্রদ্ধাঞ্জলি।

একরাশ অস্থিরতা নিয়ে বাইরে এসে দাঁড়ালাম 
দেখলাম, একাদশীর চাঁদ ঝিরিঝিরি আলো ঢালছে 
কামিনি গাছের পাতায়; 
সে-আলোর কোমল প্রতিফলন এসে লাগছে চোখে। 
কামিনির সৌরভমাখা একটা মিহিন হাওয়া 
নাকের ভেতর ঢুকে মস্তিষ্কের নিউরোনের গভীরতায়
সরাসরি এসে আঘাত করলো। 
তখনই ভাবনার জট নড়েচড়ে উঠলো, 
মনে হলো একটি পোকা এতোদিন 
বাসা বেঁধেছিলো মাথার ভেতরে; 
তার দাম্ভিকতায় লেগেছিলো আঘাত, 
ছটফট করছিলো বাইরে বেরিয়ে আসার প্রবল ইচ্ছায়। 
ঠিক তখনই টের পেয়েছিলাম কাঁধের পেছন দিকে 
একটা কোমল হাতের স্পর্শ; 
কানে এসেছিলো— “কোথায় ছিলে এতোদিন?” 
“ও, তুমি?” 
বলেছিলাম, “নক্ষত্র চলে গেছে দূরে…” 
তুমি বলেছিলে, “ নক্ষত্র হয়ে গেছো…!” 
তারপর বলেছিলে, “কাউকে দুঃখ দিয়ে নক্ষত্র হওয়া যায়?” 
আমি বলেছিলাম, “সব দুঃখের জ্যোৎস্না হতে নেই, 
কিছু অমাবশ্যার অন্ধকারে থাকাই ভালো।” 
তুমি বলেছিলে, “দুঃখকে তো সুখের ছলনায় 
জন্মাবধি চার দেয়ালের ভেতরেই বন্দি করে রেখেছি…!” 
তারপর… না, তারপর আর হয়নি কোনো সংলাপ, 
তুমি জীবনের হিসাব না মিলিয়ে 
একাদশীচাঁদের ম্রিয়মাণ অন্ধকারে 
দুঃখের সঙ্গী হয়েই একা-একা হারিয়ে গেছো সুদূরে! 
একাদশীচাঁদের জ্যোৎস্নায় 
আমাকে আবার চেপে ধরেছে অস্থিরতা !

একদিন গুরুদেব রবীন্দ্রনাথের সঙ্গে আলোচনা হচ্ছিল আমার, হিন্দু-মুসলমান সমস্যা নিয়ে। গুরুদেব বললেন : দ্যাখো, যে ন্যাজ বাইরের, তাকে কাটা যায়, কিন্তু ভিতরের ন্যাজকে কাটবে কে?

হিন্দু-মুসলমানের কথা মনে উঠলে আমার বারেবারে গুরুদেবের ওই কথাটাই মনে হয়। সঙ্গে সঙ্গে এ প্রশ্নও উদয় হয় মনে, যে এ-ন্যাজ গজালো কী করে? এর আদি উদ্ভব কোথায়? ওই সঙ্গে এটাও মনে হয়, ন্যাজ যাদেরই গজায় – তা ভিতরেই হোক আর বাইরেই হোক – তারাই হয়ে ওঠে পশু। যে সব ন্যাজওয়ালা পশুর হিংস্রতা সরল হয়ে বেরিয়ে আসে বাইরে – শৃঙ্গরূপে, তাদের তত ভয়ের কারণ নেই, যত ভয় হয় সেই সব পশুদের দেখে – যাদের হিংস্রতা ভিতরে, যাদের শিং মাথা ফুটে বেরোয়নি! শিংওয়ালা গোরু-মহিষের চেয়ে শৃঙ্গহীন ব্যাঘ্র-ভল্লুকজাতীয় পশুগুলো বেশি হিংস্র – বেশি ভীষণ। এ হিসেবে মানুষও পড়ে ওই শৃঙ্গহীন বাঘ-ভালুকের দলে। কিন্তু বাঘ-ভালুকের তবু ন্যাজটা বাইরে, তাই হয়তো রক্ষে। কেননা, ন্যাজ আর শিং দুই-ই ভেতরে থাকলে কীরকম হিংস্র হয়ে উঠতে হয়, তা হিন্দু-মুসলমানের ছোরামারা না দেখলে কেউ বুঝতে পারবে না।

যে প্রশ্ন করছিলাম, এই যে ভেতরের ন্যাজ, এর উদ্ভব কোথায়? আমার মনে হয় টিকিতে ও দাড়িতে। টিকিপুর ও দাড়িস্তানই বুঝি এর আদি জন্মভূমি। পশু সাজবার মানুষের এ কী ‘আদিম’ দুরন্ত ইচ্ছা! – ন্যাজ গজাল না বলে তারা টিকি দাড়ি জন্মিয়ে যেন সান্ত্বনা পেল!

সেদিন মানব-মনের পশু-জগতে না জানি কী উৎসবের সাড়া পড়েছিল, যেদিন ন্যাজের বদলে তারা দাড়ি-টিকির মতো কোনো কিছু একটা আবিষ্কার করলে!

মানুষের চিরন্তন আত্মীয়তাকে এমনি করে বৈরিতায় পরিণত করা হল দেয়ালের পর দেয়াল খাড়া করে। ধর্মের সত্যকে সওয়া যায, কিন্তু শাস্ত্র যুগে যুগে অসহনীয় হয়ে উঠেছে বলেই তার বিরুদ্ধে যুগে যুগে মানুষও বিদ্রোহ করেছে। হিন্দুত্ব মুসলমানত্ব দুই সওয়া যায়, কিন্তু তাদের টিকিত্ব দাড়িত্ব অসহ্য, কেননা ওই দুটোই মারামারি বাধায়। টিকিত্ব হিন্দুত্ব নয়, ওটা হয়তো পণ্ডিত্ব! তেমনই দাড়িও ইসলামত্ব নয়, ওটা মোল্লাত্ব! এই দুই ‘ত্ব’ মার্কা চুলের গোছা নিয়েই আজ এত চুলোচুলি! আজ যে মারামারিটা বেধেছে, সেটাও এই পণ্ডিত-মোল্লায় মারামারি, হিন্দু-মুসলমানে মারামারি নয়। নারায়ণের গদা আর আল্লার তলোয়ারে কোনো দিনই ঠোকাঠুকি বাধবে না, কারণ তাঁরা দুইজনেই এক, তাঁর এক হাতের অস্ত্র তাঁরই আর এক হাতের ওপর পড়বে না। তিনি সর্বনাম, সকল নাম গিয়ে মিশেছে ওঁর মধ্যে। এত মারামারির মধ্যে এইটুকুই ভরসার কথা যে, আল্লা ওরফে নারায়ণ হিন্দুও নন, মুসলমানও নন। তাঁর টিকিও নেই, দাড়িও নেই। একেবারে ‘ক্লিন’। টিকি-দাড়ির ওপর আমার এত আক্রোশ এই জন্য যে, এরা সর্বদা স্মরণ করিয়ে দেয় মানুষকে যে তুই আলাদা আমি আলাদা। মানুষকে তার চিরন্তন রক্তের সম্পর্ক ভুলিয়ে দেয় এই বাইরের চিহ্নগুলো।

অবতার-পয়গম্বর কেউ বলেননি, আমি হিন্দুর জন্য এসেছি, আমি মুসলমানের জন্যে এসেছি, আমি ক্রিশ্চানের জন্য এসেছি। তাঁরা বলেছেন, আমরা মানুষের জন্য এসেছি – আলোর মতো, সকলের জন্য। কিন্তু কৃষ্ণের ভক্তেরা বললে, কৃষ্ণ হিন্দুর, মুহম্মদের ভক্তেরা বললে, মুহম্মদ মুসলমানদের, খ্রিস্টের শিষ্যেরা বললে, খ্রিস্ট ক্রিশ্চানদের। কৃষ্ণ-মুহম্মদ-খ্রিস্ট হয়ে উঠলেন জাতীয় সম্পত্তি! আর এই সম্পত্তিত্ব নিয়েই যত বিপত্তি। আলো নিয়ে কখনও ঝগড়া করে না মানুষে, কিন্তু গোরু-ছাগল নিয়ে করে। বেশ মনে আছে, ছেলেবেলায় আমরা সূর্য নিয়ে ঝগড়া করতাম। এ বলত আমাদের পাড়ার সূর্য বড়ো ; ও বলত আমাদের পাড়ার সূর্য বড়ো! আমাদের গভীর বিশ্বাস ছিল, প্রত্যেক পাড়ায় আলাদা আলাদা সূর্য ওঠে! স্রষ্টা নিয়েও ঝগড়া চলেছে সেই রকম। এ বলছে আমাদের আল্লা ; ও বলছে আমাদের হরি। স্রষ্টা যেন গোরু-ছাগল! আর তার বিচারের ভার পড়েছে জাস্টিস সার আবদুর রহিম, পণ্ডিত মদনমোহন মালব্য প্রভৃতির ওপর! আর বিচারের ফল মেডিক্যাল কলেজ গেলেই দেখতে পাওয়া যাবে!

নদীর পাশ দিয়ে চলতে চলতে যখন দেখি, একটা লোক ডুবে মরছে, মনের চিরন্তন মানুষটি তখন এ-প্রশ্ন করবার অবসর দেয় না যে, লোকটা হিন্দু না মুসলমান। একজন মানুষ ডুবছে, এইটেই হয়ে ওঠে তার কাছে সবচেয়ে বড়ো, সে ঝাঁপিয়ে পড়ে নদীতে। হিন্দু যদি উদ্ধার করে দেখে লোকটা মুসলমান, বা মুসলমান যদি দেখে লোকটা হিন্দু – তার জন্য তো তার আত্মপ্রসাদ এতটুকু ক্ষুণ্ণ হয় না। তার মন বলে, ‘আমি একজন মানুষকে বাঁচিয়েছি – আমারই মতো একজন মানুষকে।’

কিন্তু আজ দেখছি কী? ছোরা খেয়ে যখন খায়রু মিয়াঁ পড়ল, আর তাকে যখন তুলতে গেল হালিম, তখন ভদ্র সম্প্রদায় হিন্দুরাই ছুটে আসলেন, “মশাই করেন কী? মোচলমানকে তুলছেন! মরুক ব্যাটা!” তারা ‘অজাতশ্মশ্রু’ হালিমকে দেখে চিনতে পারেনি যে সে মুসলমান। খায়রু মিয়াঁর দাড়ি ছিল। ছোরা খেয়ে যখন ভুজালি সিং পড়ল পথের উপর, তাকে তুলতে গিয়ে তুর্কিছাঁট-দাড়ি শশধর বাবুরও ওই অবস্থা!

মানুষ আজ পশুতে পরিণত হয়েছে, তাদের চিরন্তন আত্মীয়তা ভুলেছে। পশুর ন্যাজ গজিয়েছে ওদের মাথার ওপর, ওদের সারা মুখে। ওরা মারছে লুঙ্গিকে, মারছে ল্যাঙ্টকে; মারছে টিকিকে, দাড়িকে! বাইরের চিহ্ন নিয়ে এই মূর্খদের মারামারির কি অবসান নেই?

মানুষ কি এমনই অন্ধ হবে যে, সুনীতিবাবু হয়ে উঠবেন হিন্দু-সভার সেক্রেটারি এবং মুজিবর রহমান সাহেব হবেন তঞ্জিম তবলিগের প্রেসিডেন্ট?…

রাস্তায় যেতে যেতে দেখলাম, একটা বলদ যাচ্ছে, তার ন্যাজটা গেছে খসে। ওরই সাথে দেখলাম, আমার অতি বড়ো উদার বিলেত-ফেরত বন্ধুর মাথায় এক য়্যাব্বড়ো টিকি গজিয়েছে!

মনে হল, পশুর ন্যাজ খসছে আর মানুষের গজাচ্ছে!

কর্মশালার নিয়মাবলীঃ
১। সারা দেশব্যাপী অনলাইনে নির্বাচিত গানের প্রশিক্ষণ। 
২। বিভাগ/জেলা প্রতিনিধির মাধ্যমে অথবা সারাসরি সংস্কৃতি ফেজবুকে ম্যাসেজ করে অংশগ্রহনের ইচ্ছা ব্যাক্ত করতে হবে
৩। ওয়ার্কশপের নির্ধারিত সময়ে আপনার পাঠানো ম্যাসেঞ্জারে/হোয়াটসএ্প নাম্বারে জুম লিংক পাঠানো হবে।
৪। প্রশিক্ষণ শেষে বিভাগীয় ও জাতীয় পর্যায়ে শ্রেষ্ঠ শিল্পীদের সম্মাননা প্রদান করা হবে। 
৫। প্রশিক্ষণে অংশগ্রহণকারী সকলকে সনদ প্রদান করা হবে। 
৬। প্রশিক্ষণ শেষে নির্বাচিত অংশগ্রহণকারীদের নিয়ে জাতীয় পর্যায়ে অনুষ্ঠান করা হবে।
